Development Officer
Part-Time, Remote Opportunity
The Development Officer is a newly developed key position for the Center. The person in this position will have ability to grow the development program and have an immediate impact. This position may be located in Rock Island on Augustana's campus, but may also be located remotely. The Swenson Center seeks an organized, articulate, self-motivated person to take the lead in the Center's development activities. The Development Officer will work collaboratively within the Center's small team and with colleagues in the Augustana College Office of Advancement.
Candidate must have the ability to speak passionately and articulately about what we do at the Center, including preserving a library/archives and assisting researchers in Swedish-American studies, genealogists, and undergraduate students. Must be comfortable speaking with and inspiring support from a variety of constituents nationally and internationally.
