The Swenson Center is happy to announce that the O. Fritiof Ander Lecture Series is back after a three-year hiatus. The 2024 edition of the series will feature a lecture by Dr. Kim Khavar Fahlstedt about Warner Oland, a Swedish actor most famous for his portrayal of Charle Chan.
Fahlstedt is a writer and film historian, currently serving as an Associate Senior Lecturer in Film and Media Studies at Örebro University, where he also directs the Film Program. His latest book, Oland (Stockholm: Appell, 2024), delves into the life and legacy of Swedish-American Hollywood star Warner Oland and has attracted widespread attention in Sweden.
